Fond Farewell - Highland Cows Canvas

This special moment was captured on an early winter morning at Baslow Edge in the Peak District National Park. I had gotten up early to capture a sunrise but as the fog rolled in I decided to make a detour and see if I could capture these magnificent beasts. They were difficult to find in such strong fog but I persevered and eventually walking down a lane into the field one of the cows horns started to appear followed by its huge outline.
It was a magical misty morning, with the icing on the cake being three recently born calves.
