Meet the Coos Tour

This family-friendly farm experience is all about our glorious pedigree fold of Scottish Highland Cows in Sheffield, South Yorkshire on the edge of the Peak District, England’s first National Park.
At the start of the tour we will meet outside the farm shop and begin with an introduction talk, where you'll learn about the history of the farm, followed by a short safety briefing.

During the Summer months you’ll hop onto our weather-proof passenger trailer and enjoy an interactive and educational Highland Cow Safari into the pleasant pastures where the rest of the fold of Highland cows graze all year round. During the Winter months, you’ll wander through our barns, giving you more time with the cows on foot.
You’ll have plenty of time to photograph or video these stunning cattle with their magnificent horns, long shaggy coats and flowing fringes (dossens) that cover their face and eyes.
The knowledgeable farmer will tell you facts about the breed, you can learn their names and all about their different personalities.
Feel free to ask the farmer any questions that you may have about our pedigree cattle.

You will then get up close and personal with our young highland cows, giving you the opportunity to stroke, brush, feed and take lots of photos during our Hairy Coo Encounter!
We're hands-on with our animals and very passionate about the Highland breed, so we want you to leave us loving them just as much as we do!

Sensible footwear and clothing are recommended.

Can be suited for participants who use a mobility scooter, wheelchair, or walker.

Small group size: Approx. 12 people

A participating adult must accompany children.

Children under 3 years old go free but will have to sit on your knee for the summer safari part of the experience.
