Peak Highland Cow Experience

Our incredibly popular great-value group tours, the UK’s most interactive Highland Cow Experience, with chance to stroke, feed, and uniquely photograph up close our glorious pedigree fold of Scottish Highland Cattle in Sheffield, South Yorkshire on the edge of the Peak District, England’s first National Park.

At the start of the tour, we will meet outside the farm shop, and begin with an introduction talk followed by a short safety briefing.

Hop onto our all-weather passenger trailer and enjoy a farmer-led educational Highland Cow Safari into the pleasant pastures where the rest of the fold of Highland Coos graze all year round.

During our unique Meadow Moo-ch™ you’ll have plenty of time to wander amongst these stunning cattle with their magnificent horns, long shaggy coats, and flowing fringes (dossens) that cover their face, allowing you to see them eye to eye and get plenty of great up-close photographs or videos.

We will then meet, pet, and groom some of our younger Highland Cows during our Hairy Coo Encounter either in our exclusive outdoor Coo-ral™ or under a roofed area during bad weather.

We currently have 44 breeding females, 5 bulls, and over 100 Highlands and Dexters in total.

The knowledgeable farmer will tell you facts about the breed, you can learn their names, and all about their different personalities.

·  Small group sizes: 12 people approx.

·   The experience lasts around 90 minutes

·  Best suited for adults and children aged 8 years and upwards.

·  Children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

·  Not suitable for participants who use a mobility scooter or wheelchair.

·  Not recommended for those who are pregnant.

We cannot accommodate spectators on experiences but they are free to visit the cafe, farm shop & wander around the farm’s footpaths.
