Highland Cows and a place to eat

Looking for a bite to eat before or after seeing our Highland Cows, whilst we do not do a Highland cow afternoon tea, which seems to be the latest fad, there are some great places to eat locally.

Interior of a bright restaurant with large windows, wooden ceiling, and tables set for dining with orange and wooden chairs, decorated with flowers and table settings.

You can choose from a selection of sandwiches and desserts, or you can treat yourself to some cooked farm-fresh food at the on-site cafe. Check out their menus plus there are daily specials on the chalkboard inside the cafe too!

Food with thought

The team at The Barn have all worked flat out to make sure you have an enjoyable visit and something delicious to eat.  They've developed a wonderful menu full of great dishes that showcase the best that the farm and local producers have to offer -  there's lots of home-made, home-grown going on!! We've got great breakfast options, delicious sandwiches along with changing specials. We've also got a great selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and deli items throughout the day.  And the childrens' menu has been revamped too, so that no-one is left out! There really is something for everyone

Current opening times:
Wednesday - Sunday, 9am - 4pm

We recommend making a reservation to secure your seating.

Top Tip! - If you are doing a late afternoon experience, then we recommend arriving early to visit the cafe well before your Highland Cow Experience, as the cafe and farm shop may be closed by the time your tour finishes.

N.B. The Barn Cafe and Farm Shop is run by Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, and not Highland Cow Experiences, should you need to contact them regarding any cafe reservations.
