Refund Policy

What’s your refund policy?

  • Once a booking is made, it is non-refundable after 48 hours.

    • Unless we have to cancel the experience, in which case an alternative date or full refund will be offered.

  • After 48 hours from booking, refunds (minus 4% transaction and admin fees) can only be offered if we can resell the tickets

    • Or we will try to re-book you at a later date if there is a genuine reason for not being able to attend, at our discretion, but during busy periods, this may not be possible.
Refunds will be processed within ten working days, and reimbursement will be made in the same format as the payment was taken.

  • Reschedule a confirmed pending booking (an admin fee of £5 will apply).

    • We require the person who made the booking to contact us,
using the booking amendment form on this page only, no less than 48 hours before the start date of the experience. Other methods of contact will not be accepted!

    • We will then email you a code allowing you to rebook your experience. Due to how the booking system works, we cannot move your booking manually. You will need to reschedule your booking yourself using the code emailed to you in order to receive a new confirmation email with your new booking date. Please do not worry if you haven't received a code straight away, we will process it as soon as we can. As long as the amendment was sent within the appropriate time frame, it will be honoured.

    • An admin fee of £5 will apply. (This will be deducted from your original booking amount and needs to be paid when you book again.)

  • Less than 48 hours before the date of the experience,

    • Should you wish to cancel a fulfilled booking, if you do not show up for the booking or if you do not attend the meeting point before the start time, then Highland Cow Experiences cannot issue a refund or reschedule your booking.

    • Please be aware that before you book your experience, we cannot offer refunds if you change your mind. So please make sure you’re available on the date chosen before booking; rescheduling your booking will incur a fee.

    • We do not issue refunds due to inclement weather. We do run experiences in the rain, so please be prepared to bring some wellies and wet-weather gear with you.

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase and are valid for a maximum of 24 months.

Terms and conditions

Visitors participate at their own risk and experiences may vary. Even though we spend time with the animals every day and they are generally very friendly and love being fussed over, scratched and groomed. However, like people, animals can have off days and may be unpredictable or act ‘out of character’, visitors participate with this understanding and Highland Cows of the Peak are not liable for any accidents due to unpredictable animal behaviour.
Under-3s welcome when supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
We reserve the right to vary the experience for animal welfare and health and safety reasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I purchased an experience but my order still says pending

All the experiences say pending rather than fulfilled as they are e-tickets and are not physically shipped out. It is nothing to worry about.

  • I haven’t received my confirmation email or gift voucher

If it’s not in your inbox please check your spam folder in case the email goes in there by mistake.

  • Are you open to the public?

We are a working farm and experiences are by pre-booked appointment only, all visitors must have a booking to one of our experiences which are only available to book through our website.
    No spectators allowed.

  • Is there parking?

Yes, there is a free car park available.

  • What should I wear for hands-on experiences?

We suggest wellies or waterproof outdoor footwear, the experience is outdoors so please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, dogs may spook the coos so they must stay home.

  • Can I bring food to feed the animals?

No, there is food on site to feed the animals. Food from home can introduce harmful pathogens to the farm, potentially causing outbreaks of animal diseases.

  • Can I take photos?

Yes, definitely. Take as many photos of the highlands as you like, and we’re always happy to take pictures of you with them too. Don’t forget to tag us! #peakhighlandcowexperience

  • Can I stroke the Highland cows?

Only when advised you can do so, to make sure you are kept safe. Whilst our cattle are friendly and curious, they are farm animals and can cause serious harm if they’re having an off day. You will have the chance to pet young calves on each of our experiences.
