A Moo-ment to remember

In August we had our very first wedding proposal on one of our Highland Cow Experiences.

Francis asked Highland Cows of the Peak to aid him in asking his girlfriend, a massive fan of Highland Coos, to marry him.
Francis O’Toole (27), and Femke Hummert (25), came up from London for one of our Deluxe Highland Cow Safaris, a private tour for special occasions, where they could meet and interact with the cows up close giving them a stroke whilst learning about their history and personalities from tour guide Farmer Ash, the owner of the MaHuRuCo Highlands. Photographer Paul, from Highland Cows of the Peak, was also there to capture the day as it unfolded.
Francis then took this opportunity to pop the question to Femke and she said yes!

Will you marry me?

Yes!

As Francis had contacted us in advance about his plans, we helped make it extra special by arranging for them to toast the occasion in the farm’s vineyard with some of it’s own sparkling wine as a surprise.

Our Highland Cow Experience was chosen as they were able to enjoy a personal experience on the farm. We are delighted for the newly engaged couple and can’t wait to see what their wedding plans include.

Visitors have travelled from all over the UK for our experiences, especially our Peak Highland Cow Experience, and we even had some visitors from Singapore and the US!
